Investigation of Antimicrobial Activity of Lallemantia canescens (L) Fisch & Mey.

Studies on the lethal effects of plants harmful microorganisms have made them an important and valuable resource for health. Turkey, wherefore junction center three phytogeographic regions, is home to numerous medicinal aromatic with its rich flora. L. canescens a perennial plant that grows in geography extending from Turkey Iran, there are studies only antioxidant capacity essential oil content. In this study, antimicrobial activity hexane, ethylacetate, methanol water extracts aerial parts canescens, which has known as “Topajdarbaşı” was investigated. Plant samples were collected Pöske Mount Erzincan. Antimicrobial activities evaluated using disc diffusion method against Gram-negative bacterias (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, colistin-resistant Escherichia coli, coli) Gram-positive (Enterococcus faecalis, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae). To conclude, ethylacetate showed considerable S.aureus, E.faecalis, S.pneumoniae strains.
